Springfield, IL — Call it a meal with a view of history - the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is now offering unique group dining opportunities in the Library's round, picturesque reception room.
"Luncheon at the Library" and "To a Tea" feature special menus served in the Presidential Library's all-glass Lincoln Reception Room, admission to the Presidential Museum, and a souvenir from the Museum Store, all for one price. The programs are offered Monday through Friday based upon availability, and reservations may be made through the Facilities Rental Office at (217) 558-8873 or hpa.alplm.rentevents@illinois.gov.
"This is the perfect way to turn a meeting or gathering into something more special," said Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum Executive Director Rick Beard. "We offer fine food, a great view, a world-class museum tour and a souvenir at the end."
"Luncheon at the Library" offers groups of between 40 and 60 people an appetizing buffet in the Library followed by a Museum tour. The cost is either $40 or $48 per person depending on menu choices. "To a Tea" features a savory and sweet tea menu in the Library followed by a tour of the Museum, and the cost is $38 per person for groups of between 40 and 60. Each participant in the Luncheon or Tea program will receive a souvenir from the Museum Store upon completion of the Museum tour.
