In Illinois we just the latest political scandal break yesterday when a state rep was arrested on bribery charges. In Illinois dozens of local politicians – including our two most recent governors – have gone to prison on corruption charges. And so that’s why we showered hundreds of millions of public dollars on greedy companies such as The Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Sears Holdings, Grossinger’s Auto and Marianno’s Grocery – and sat back at let the 120 year legacy of Jane Addams blink out of existence. Shame on Chicago. Shame on Illinois. Shame on us all.
