I enjoy this site very much but this panel discussion was a bit over the top. Attitudes and ideas about mental illness have changed so much that it seems inane to me to discuss/debate how Mary Lincolns situation would be handled today. Of course it would be handled differently! This is the 21st. century! Why not gather together a panel of experts to discuss how the slavery and race issues of the antebellum south would be handled differently today?
