I LOVED the movie! I thought they did a wonderful job taking Mr. Lincoln from his (god-like) pedestal and bringing him back to being human. The jokes were WONDERFUL! I was laughing through the film. I have so much respect for this movie, and HIS VOICE!!! It was perfect!! It was nicely pitched and FOR ONCE not deep.
Loved the Podcast BTW.

Wonderful podcast! Is there any evidence whatsoever that Mary Lincoln–or even Elizabeth Keckley for that matter–ever attended any Congressional debate? I’ve seen no evidence of it it Mary’s letters nor Keckley’s autobiography.

YES! New post! I missed you guys!

I agree that “Lincoln” was a great movie. I felt like the Lincoln who on screen was the same Lincoln from my collection of his letters and speeches. Superb.

Also, could you imagine what would happen if A Lincoln slapped R T Lincoln outside and in public as it was shown in the movie? No, no, I think that’s something that we would know about.
