Four Minutes for the holidays Museum's popular "The Civil War in Four Minutes" video now available on DVD
Springfield, IL — "The Civil War in Four Minutes," one of the most popular of the high-tech presentations at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield, Illinois, is now available on DVD for $9.95 from the Museum's Gift Shop.
"The Civil War in Four Minutes" follows the course of the war with moving battle lines ranging across a map of the eastern United States. Explosions occur to denote battles, and an "odometer of death" keeps a running total of Union and Confederate casualties as the war progresses. The presentation graphically illustrates war strategy, campaigns, and the high cost in human lives of the Civil War.
The new DVD contains the entire, full-color "The Civil War in Four Minutes" presentation, as well as a narrated, ten-minute tour of the Museum that explains the philosophy behind its development. It was developed by BRC Imagination Arts, designers of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. The DVD would be the ideal gift for teachers, students, or anyone interested in Civil War history.
"The Civil War in Four Minutes" may be purchased at the Museum Gift Shop or ordered on-line at www.presidentlincoln.org. Proceeds from Gift Shop sales benefit the not-for-profit Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation.
