ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY ORAL HISTORY PROGRAM

Welcome to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library's Oral History Program web site. The Oral History program is dedicated to preserving the stories and memories of Illinois' citizens, not just those of the famous and prominent among us, but of people from all walks of life. Our aim at ALPL is to become the state's premier repository for oral histories, both those created by the Library's own Oral History program, but also those collected by other organizations and then donated to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.

This web site is currently under construction. Our initial launch, on November 11, 2008, features our Veterans Remember project. Over the next several months we will add other projects as well. Notably, we plan to launch the Illinois Statecraft project in the spring of 2009, and our Agriculture in Illinois project in September of 2009. We ask for your patience as we work toward these goals, but especially thank you for your interest in and support for our program. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library is committed to preserving Illinois' incredible story, one voice at a time.
