Matthew P. Pappas
Matt Pappas serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation and has served on the Board of Directors since 2018. He is the Founder and Managing Director of the law firm of Pappas O’Connor, P.C. with offices in Rock Island and Chicago, Illinois.
Matt’s practice focuses on labor and employment law. Matt is a sought-after speaker on employment and labor relations laws in both Iowa and Illinois. He represents public institutions, multinational corporations and large regional employers. Matt has successfully litigated complex employment disputes, including multiple class actions in both federal and state courts.
He proudly serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley. He is active in his community and has served on the Board of Directors of the Center for Active Seniors, Martin Luther King Jr. Center and the USO of Illinois - Rock Island Advisory Committee.
Matt graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and has a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law.
